Paul Dolman – Atmospheric Landscapes

Paul was born in Derbyshire England and moved with his parents to Devon where he collected a series of awards as a Junior Artist.

His first job was as a pottery designer and he quickly moved on to become an Illustrator for the South Devon Scene, a local magazine based in the internationally renowned art college at Darlington Hall near Totness.

Paul became an immediate success and was commissioned to produce pen and ink drawings for clients in the publishing industry.

Passionate about painting, in recent years Paul has moved towards oils, creating wonderfully atmospheric and vivid landscapes full of life and drama.

Something which makes Paul stand out as an artist is his very identifiable style which separates him from many other artists. His technique is very sophisticated and singular, providing great depth to his work that is continually evolving. The quality of Paul’s work is testament to his commitment and integrity. He is a true professional. Paul has had various exhibitions in galleries around England including Highcliffe Castle, the former home of  ITV’s Mr. Selfridge.  

Paul has achieved international recognition for its quality, clarity, dramatic light and atmosphere and his work and hangs in locations as far spread as New York, Nantucket, Australia and New Zealand to name but a few.

Paul creates his work in his studio as well as on location, also enjoying demonstrating his art at Avon Beach on weekends during the summer.
