“The Great Zambezi ~ Mana Magic”

The allure of Africa is one that reaches far and wide. This year’s show will feature the works of legendary artists David Langmead, Jaco Van Schalkwyk and Mopho Gonde and will be held at our Naples Gallery on February 20th and at our brand new Jupiter Gallery on February 27th.  RSVP only 239-643-3785.

Each of these amazing talents bring their own unique interpretation of Africa’s wildlife to their art and all share a deep commitment to the preservation of wildlife and our natural world.

Arriving from Africa – world renowned artists David Langmead, Jaco Van Schalkwyk and Mopho Gonde (the Michelangelo of wildlife sculptors). Meet them in person and see their show “The Great Zambezi – Mana Magic”.  Listen to the personal inspirations behind their 2013 Safari to Mana Pools, Zimbabwe, one of the greatest wildlife parks in the entire world.  Public artist reception will be held on Saturday, February 21st from 11am-3pm at our beautiful Naples Gallery.  Contact the gallery at 239-643-3785 for more information.

Please join us in our Jupiter Gallery for The Beauty of Birds fine art show.  Many special new works by our top artists created especially for this event  will be on display, featuring these beautiful endothermic vertebrates in all their glory! This amazing exhibition is open through March 7.

Opening artist reception for Godfrey Zonde & Rob MacIntosh – Expressions In Stone & Water exhibition.  Meet this incredibly talented Shona Master Sculptor visiting from Zimbabwe and renowned South African seascape artist Rob MacIntosh. Godfrey and Rob will be discussing their new works and meeting with collectors. This exhibition at the Jupiter Gallery will run through March 4th.

Join us for a special evening as we honor the Art of the Everglades. David Langmead and John Seerey-Lester will be signing copies of their newly released books. Attending artists will include renowned Zimbabwean wildlife painter David Langmead and legendary wildlife artist John Seerey Lester, accompanied by his wife, wildlife artist Suzy Seerey Lester. Acclaimed Zimbabwean sculptor Mopho Gonde will also be with us. Additional attendees will include seascape painter Rob Macintosh and Zimbabwean stone sculptor Godfrey Zonde. South African wine and Hors d’oeveres will be served at our evening event. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida.

Meet Andrew Smith, born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital. After leaving school he pursued a career in the safari. Andrew started his career at Miombo Safari Camp and The Hide Safari Camp, During this training, he built a strong foundational knowledge in Environmental Ethics, Flora and Fauna, tracking of big game on foot and even some Mechanics for the moments when things go wrong in camp. Nineteen years later his passion for the bush and all things wild is stronger than ever.

Our team’s skills and expertise allow us to navigate the complex logistics of travel into the vast wilderness areas of sub – Saharan Africa.

Andrew’s guiding has taken him through various wildlife sanctuaries in the sub-region, but his passion lies in Mana Pools – his ‘home away from home’! He obtained his full Zimbabwean Guides License in 2004 and has focused on ‘photographic stalking – tracking of wildlife and teaching guests how to make the most of the available light, scenery and wildlife for the perfect photograph; with a specialty in tracking lions. He mainly guides in Zimbabwe, but also has knowledge of neighboring countries.

The Africa Bound Safaris team, based in Africa, has been tailoring itineraries to suit our individual clients’ aspirations.
